In October 1998 HP released the high performance, high volume LaserJet 8100 network printer. A workhorse for workgroups, the 8100 offered speed and versatility with a print speed of 32 pages per minute (ppm), standard paper capacity of 1,100 sheets and a duty cycle of 150,000 pages per month.
November 2000 saw the introduction of the 8150 printer and 8150 MFP. The 8150 printer retained the 32 ppm print speed and 150,000 page duty cycle of the 8100 model.
The MFP model had all the features of the 8150 with the added capabilities of copying and scanning.
The 8100, 8150 and 8150 MFP models all share the same non-chipped all-in-one 20,000 page yield cartridge.
